Transportation

Hillcrest Village affords property owners several alternative means of transportation. The reasonably good public transit infrastructure makes transit a viable option for many people thanks to about 10 nearby bus lines. Hillcrest Village will also appeal to active house buyers because it is quite convenient for those who travel by foot; running common errands is convenient by walking. Hillcrest Village is not very conducive to bicycling as the cycling network is not very comprehensive, and cyclists are faced with quite a few slopes.

Services

A general and a specialty grocery store is always only a reasonably short walk away in this area. Likewise, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a limited selection of coffee shops is available as well. When it comes to education, in this area, parents and their children will usually be able to get to schools and daycares by walking.

Character

People who prefer a slower-paced environment will enjoy Hillcrest Village. Greenery is reasonably prominent in this part of Toronto as the majority of streets have fairly good tree coverage. There are about 10 parks close by for residents to check out, including Highland Memory Gardens and North York Hydro Green Space, making it very easy to access them. This neighbourhood is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are generally tranquil - however some parts can be quite loud, especially around Highway 404.

Most of the housing growth in this neighbourhood took place in the 1960s and 1970s. This part of the city is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
