This area is very transit friendly by reason of a multitude of nearby rapid transit stations on the Yonge - University Line, and approximately 20 nearby bus lines. Although bicycling is made easier by the generally flat terrain, Downsview Airport is not very bike-friendly as this neighbourhood is home to a quite poor cycling infrastructure. Walking in Downsview Airport is not very common, despite the fact that most day-to-day needs are easy to meet on foot, and there are also a fair number of businesses nearby. However, the best transportation option in this part of Toronto is very often driving. Nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are very easy to access from any home in this part of Toronto, and the city block layout is conducive to cars.
