Situated in the St. Catharines - Niagara metropolitan area, Thorold Proper is a neighbourhood within Thorold, Ontario.

Transportation

Thorold Proper is moderately amenable to cycling. People who appreciate living in a walkable community will also welcome the fairly pedestrian-friendly nature of this part of the city; meeting daily needs is convenient without a car. The car is usually the favoured approach to navigate this area. It is convenient to park, and it is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 58, from any location in this neighbourhood. On the other hand, travelling by transit can be sometimes difficult in this part of Thorold by reason of the service's low frequency. Thankfully, there are approximately 20 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is typically very close by.

The nearest supermarket in Thorold Proper is usually only a short walk away.
