The neighbourhood of Woodlands is part of the city of Pickering, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.


Driving is a great means of transportation in this neighbourhood. Most of the street infrastructure is conducive to cars, and it is very convenient to find a place to park. On the other hand, the public transit network in Woodlands is not particularly practical. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are typically nearby. Walking in this part of Pickering is not very popular, even though meeting day-to-day needs is convenient. It is also challenging to travel by bike in Woodlands because there is a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the bicycling network is not very well-developed.


In Woodlands, parents and their kids will typically be able to reach schools and daycares on foot. Regarding food, it is generally possible for home buyers in Woodlands to do their grocery shopping by walking.
