Cumberland is a neighbourhood within Ottawa, Ontario, which is situated in the Ottawa - Gatineau metropolitan area.


The favoured mode of transportation in Cumberland is usually driving. Finding a place to park is generally easy. On the other hand, the public transit system in this neighbourhood is not very practical. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and most properties are close to a bus stop. Cycling is difficult in Cumberland as there are very few bike lanes, and there are a good number of slopes for cyclists to brave. This area is also not very suitable for walking since almost no daily errands can be run without the use of a car.


Cumberland does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, daycares are not plentiful and thus not always within walking distance. Concerning food, purchasing one's groceries very often requires the use of a vehicle in this neighbourhood.


Cumberland is very quiet overall, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Parks are spread out sporadically, making them rather challenging to get to. Despite that, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to enjoy, like Cardinal Creek Valley and Valin Park.
