The neighbourhood of Vanier is part of the city of Oshawa, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Oshawa metropolitan area.

Transportation

The bicycle is a good mode of transportation in Vanier. People who appreciate being able to walk everywhere will also be pleased with the pedestrian-friendly nature of Vanier; many day-to-day needs are convenient to meet without the use of a vehicle, and a good number of businesses of different types can be found as well. Commuting by public transit is occasionally challenging in this neighbourhood. Nonetheless, there is the Durham College Oshawa with access to the Lakeshore East. There are about 10 bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. In contrast, driving is a very good means of transportation in Vanier. The majority of houses for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Highway 401, and it is easy to park.

Services
