Nassagaweya

The neighbourhood of Nassagaweya can be found in the town of Milton, Ontario, which is located in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Nassagaweya is an extraordinarily good part of Milton for moving around by car. Parking is easy. Nassagaweya is not very suited for cycling since the terrain is not particularly flat, and this area is home to quite bad bicycling infrastructure. This neighbourhood is also not very convenient for pedestrians because running common errands is inconvenient without the need to get in a vehicle.

Services

Nassagaweya does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, parents and their schoolchildren may consider it very hard to access daycares on foot. With respect to eating, it is very rarely practical for property owners in this part of the town to do grocery shopping by walking. There are also a few opportunities for those who care about restaurants within a short distance.

Character

The character of Nassagaweya is exemplified by its calm environment. Nassagaweya is good for those who prefer quiet surroundings, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue - although there are still several louder areas, especially near one of the railway lines or Highway 401. Parks are sparse, which makes them occasionally challenging to get to from most locations in the neighbourhood. Despite that, there are approximately 20 green spaces nearby for residents to check out, like Country Heritage Park and Robert Edmondson Conservation Area.

Housing

Single detached homes and townhouses are the main housing type in Nassagaweya. Around one third of homes in this part of the town were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood is notable for those looking for four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy roughly 90% of the units in Nassagaweya and 10% are rented.
