The neighbourhood of Longwoods can be found in the city of London, Ontario, which is located in the Greater London metropolitan area.
Transportation
Driving is a great transportation option in Longwoods. It is very easy to find a place to park. On the other hand, the transit system in Longwoods is rather poor. Nevertheless, the neighbourhood is connected by a few bus lines, and it is very convenient to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. Longwoods is rather bicycling-friendly as it is a flat ride to most destinations. Most homes for sale in this neighbourhood are located in areas that are not very conducive to pedestrians as meeting daily needs is at times challenging without a vehicle.
Services
It is occasionally feasible for home buyers in this area to buy groceries by walking. Furthermore, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a small number of cafes is available as well. With regards to education, daycares are easy to get to without the use of a car from anywhere in Longwoods. In contrast, Longwoods does not have any primary schools or high schools.
Character
Longwoods offers an extensive selection of green spaces to enjoy. Parks, such as Southwest London Baseball Complex and Highland Woods, are very well-spread out and there are approximately 20 of them nearby for residents to enjoy, which makes them easy to get to. This part of the city is relatively calm, due to the presence of very few pedestrians.
Housing
Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing around 45% of buildings in Longwoods, and the rest are mainly large apartment buildings. This neighbourhood offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly 60% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 40% are rented. Most housing in this part of London was built after the year 2000, during its biggest construction boom.
