The neighbourhood of Southdale can be found in the city of Kitchener, Ontario, which is situated in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.


Walking is quite feasible for property owners in Southdale; many day-to-day errands can be run on foot. Although riding a bike is more practical in some pockets than others, and the cycling infrastructure is well-developed, the bicycle is a sometimes poor method of transportation in this neighbourhood since there is a significant amount of hills. The public transit service in Southdale is not particularly frequent.
