Transportation
The preferred method to navigate this area is usually a car. Nearby highways, such as Red Hill Valley Parkway, are reasonably easy to access from any location in this part of the city, and it is very convenient to park. In contrast, the public transit service in Valley Park is not very frequent. Nevertheless, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. Biking is convenient in Valley Park. Valley Park is not especially well-suited for those who prefer to get around as pedestrians because few daily needs can be met without a car.
Services
It is a very short stroll to access daycares and primary schools from most properties for sale in Valley Park. On the other hand, high schools are not particularly abundant and consequently tend to require an extended trip to get to. As far as food is concerned, a supermarket is typically reachable within a rather long trip from anywhere in this neighbourhood. Additionally, Valley Park is a good place in which to eat out, and residents can enjoy a few cafes as well.
Character
Valley Park offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. This neighbourhood is especially quiet overall, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour near Red Hill Valley Parkway. Lastly, public green spaces, including Maplewood Park and Eramosa Karst Conservation Area, are very well-situated and there are about 20 of them nearby for residents to check out, which makes it very easy to get to them from many locations within Valley Park.

Valley Park did not experience a single building boom; the construction of new homes in the neighbourhood was spread throughout multiple decades in the twentieth and twenty-first century. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the majority of buildings in this part of the city, while the rest are mainly townhouses. Roughly 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 10% are occupied by renters. This part of Hamilton is primarily composed of four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes.
