Transportation

Getting around as a pedestrian is not very practical for home buyers in this part of Grimsby because carrying out day-to-day needs is impractical without a vehicle. The bike is a rather limited method of transportation in this neighbourhood as the cycling network is not very comprehensive, and there is a considerable amount of elevation changes.

Regarding education, it is a short stroll to reach primary schools and daycares from most properties for sale in this part of the town. However, there are no high schools in Grimsby Beach.

Character

Grimsby Beach offers a relaxed environment. Grimsby Beach is very quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue closer to Queen Elizabeth Way. It is very hard to get to green spaces in the neighbourhood since they aren't well-spread out. Still, there are about 20 parks close by for residents to relax in.

Housing

Roughly 95% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 5% are occupied by renters. The large percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of this area is an important part of its character. Roughly 30% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed between 1980 and 1990, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1960s. This part of the town also has quite a good choice of housing size options; there is a higher proportion of three bedroom homes in this part of Grimsby.
