The neighbourhood of Steeles West Industrial is part of the city of Vaughan, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Steeles West Industrial is reasonably transit friendly as a result of 3 rapid transit stations (Hwy 7 / Pine Valley, Hwy 7 / Ansley Grove and Hwy 7 / Weston) with access to the Viva Orange, and around 10 nearby bus lines. In contrast, walking is not very common in this neighbourhood, even though most daily needs are convenient to carry out without the use of a vehicle. The bike is a rather poor method of transportation in Steeles West Industrial as the cycling infrastructure is not very well-developed. Nonetheless, cyclists do not face significant slopes, and a few bike-friendly sectors exist. However, this area is an extraordinarily convenient part of Vaughan for moving around by car. Most of the street network is conducive to cars, and it is a very short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 400, from anywhere in Steeles West Industrial.

Services

It is difficult to reach the nearest grocery store on foot in Steeles West Industrial. Furthermore, there are a fair number of options in close proximity for those who care about restaurants and cafes. With regards to education, it is a rather short stroll to get to daycares from most houses for sale in this neighbourhood. In contrast, there are only a very small number of high schools in Steeles West Industrial and accordingly they can be a very long distance away. Additionally, this neighbourhood does not contain any primary schools.

Character

There is an extensive selection of green spaces in Steeles West Industrial. To be more precise, green spaces, including Thackeray Park, are very well-distributed and there are about 10 of them nearby for residents to relax in, making them easy to access. However, the tree canopy coverage for the majority of streets is quite bad. Lastly, this neighbourhood is an excellent area for those who don't mind some noise, as traffic can occasionally be loud during busy hours.

Housing

About 70% of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and renters occupy the remainder.
