Transportation

O'Connor-Parkview provides property owners with several alternative modes of transportation. It is easy for pedestrians to get around in O'Connor-Parkview; many daily errands can be run without a vehicle, and plenty of businesses are rather close by. This area is also moderately cycling-friendly. O'Connor-Parkview is reasonably transit friendly. Residents can depend on Main Street Station - Westbound Platform and Main Street Station - Eastbound Platform on the Line 2 (Bloor - Danforth). There are approximately 20 bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. O'Connor-Parkview is also fairly car friendly. Parking is generally easy.

Services

It is usually practical for property owners in this area to purchase groceries as pedestrians. O'Connor Drive is among the best streets for groceries. Moreover, there is generally a restaurant or cafe just around the corner. With respect to education, parents and their kids will welcome that wherever their property is located in this area, primary schools and daycares are nearby. However, there are only a limited number of high schools and thus they can be an extended distance away.

Character

O'Connor-Parkview has a character that appeals to a fairly diverse group of people. Although this part of the city is not known for its vibrancy, the vibe is still quite dynamic around its main streets, and with the nightlife venues in nearby neighbourhoods, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink because they are generally located a short walk away. Most areas in O'Connor-Parkview are very quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. This area also features a fair amount of greenery; reaching parks from most locations in the neighbourhood, such as Stan Wadlow Park and E. T. Seton Park, is very easy since there are over 50 of them nearby for residents to enjoy. Furthermore, residents will find that there are numerous tree-lined streets.

Housing

In O'Connor-Parkview, about 40% of buildings are single detached homes, while large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings make up most of the remaining housing stock.
