Located within the Greater Thunder Bay metropolitan area, McIntyre is a neighbourhood within Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Transportation
Driving is an excellent mode of transportation in this neighbourhood. Finding a place to park is quite easy. In contrast, the transit service in McIntyre is not very convenient. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and the closest bus stop is generally a short distance away. Although a few bicycling-friendly sectors can be found, commuting by bicycle is at times difficult in McIntyre since the cycling infrastructure is quite bad, and the terrain is not particularly flat. McIntyre is also not very conducive to people who like to travel on foot as many daily needs are inconvenient to carry out without the use of a vehicle.
Services
In McIntyre, families will commonly be able to get to primary schools as pedestrians. However, high schools are not numerous and therefore not always within walking distance. Concerning eating, doing one's groceries very often necessitates the use of a car in McIntyre. There are also a few restaurants in this part of the city.
