The neighbourhood of Employment can be found in the city of Burlington, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Hamilton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Employment is especially car friendly. Many homes for sale are a short drive from the nearest highway, such as Queen Elizabeth Way, and accessing a parking spot is generally easy. On the other hand, the public transit system in this part of the city is fairly poor. Nonetheless, there is the Appleby Station on the Lakeshore West Line. There are approximately 10 bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. Employment is not very conducive to bicycling because there is a significant amount of slopes, and this neighbourhood is home to a quite bad cycling infrastructure. Nonetheless, riding a bike is more feasible in certain pockets than others. Travelling by foot in this part of Burlington is also not very popular, even though most daily needs are convenient to meet without the use of a car.

Services

It is a reasonably short walk to get to daycares from any location in Employment. However, parents may consider it difficult for their children to access primary schools and high schools as pedestrians. Regarding eating, property owners in this part of Burlington often have to rely on a vehicle to reach the nearest grocery store. Nonetheless, getting to the closest pharmacy and consequently some basic food items is usually convenient. Residents benefit from around 30 restaurants and cafes as well.
