The neighbourhood of Centennial can be found in the city of Cambridge, Ontario, which is situated in the Kitchener - Cambridge - Waterloo metropolitan area.


This area is an extraordinarily convenient part of Cambridge for driving. Nearby highways, such as Highway 401, are very easy to access from anywhere in Centennial, and it is very easy to come across a parking spot. However, the public transit network in Centennial is fairly poor. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily nearby. Centennial is not very amenable to cycling because there is a significant amount of slopes, and this neighbourhood has a rather poor bicycling infrastructure. A majority of the houses for sale in this part of the city are located in places that are also not particularly conducive to those who travel by foot as meeting daily needs is occasionally difficult.


It is convenient to reach the closest supermarket by walking from most properties for sale in this area. Residents are served by about 10 restaurants and coffee shops as well. With respect to education, it is a rather short walk to reach daycares and schools from most homes for sale in this part of Cambridge.


Home buyers who prefer a calm atmosphere will enjoy Centennial. Public green spaces are easy to access since there are a few of them nearby for residents to discover. This neighbourhood is also fairly good for those who enjoy a quiet atmosphere, as there are low levels of noise from traffic - however some parts can be quite noisy, especially near Highway 401 or the railway line.


Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing many dwellings in Centennial, while the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This part of Cambridge is primarily composed of two bedroom and three bedroom homes. About 70% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 30% are rented. Roughly 40% of properties in this neighbourhood were constructed between 1960 and 1980, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s.
