Parkway Belt

Parkway Belt is a neighbourhood in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, which is in the province of Ontario, Canada.

Parkway Belt is very car friendly. It is very convenient to park, and most houses for sale are a very short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 407. On the other hand, the public transit service in this neighbourhood is not especially frequent. Thankfully, house owners are served by a few bus lines, and most residences are near a bus stop. This part of Mississauga is not very bike-friendly since cyclists encounter a considerable amount of elevation changes, and the cycling network is quite poor. Travelling on foot is also not very convenient for house buyers in Parkway Belt as few daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

A fraction of home buyers in this part of Mississauga may be able to access the closest supermarket on foot, while others will have to use a vehicle. When it comes to education, there are only a few primary schools in Parkway Belt and therefore they can be a long walk away. Additionally, Parkway Belt does not have any high schools. Moreover, families may find it very hard for their kids to access daycares as a pedestrian.

There are a lot of green spaces to enjoy in Parkway Belt. There are a few public green spaces close by for residents to discover, like Sam Rayson Valley and Kuehne Park South, and they are very well-spread out, making it easy to access them. This area is a wonderful neighbourhood for those who don't mind some noise, as traffic during busier hours of the day can occasionally be bothersome.

In Parkway Belt, roughly 30% of dwellings are large apartment buildings, but duplexes, single detached homes, and townhouses are also present in the housing stock. The buildings in this neighbourhood are quite new, because about one third of its dwellings were built following the year 2000, while many of the remaining buildings were constructed in the 1960s and the 1980s. This part of Mississauga offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Roughly two thirds of the units in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while the rest are rented.
