The neighbourhood of Mount Pleasant West can be found in the city of Brampton, Ontario, which is situated in the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area.

Transportation

Mount Pleasant West is an extraordinarily convenient part of Brampton for driving. It is especially convenient to come across a parking spot. On the other hand, this neighbourhood is not very transit friendly. Biking is difficult in this part of the city since the area is not particularly flat, and this part of Brampton has a quite bad cycling infrastructure. Walking is also not very convenient for house buyers in Mount Pleasant West since very few daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

This area does not have any high schools or primary schools. Likewise, it can be very difficult to access daycares on foot. With respect to food, in most, if not all, cases, a car is required to do groceries.

Character

Mount Pleasant West is a reasonably good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed ambience. The noise levels in this part of Brampton are low, as the streets are reasonably peaceful. Finally, although the neighbourhood does not contain any parks, green spaces are scarce in nearby neighbourhoods, resulting in them being easy to reach from the majority of locations within Mount Pleasant West.

Housing

About half of properties in Mount Pleasant West were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing the vast majority of dwellings in this part of the city, and the remainder are mainly duplexes. About 60% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home and 40% are renters. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this part of the city.
