Part of the Greater Toronto Area metropolitan area, Duffins Bay is a neighbourhood within Ajax, Ontario.


The preferred transportation option in Duffins Bay is very often a car. It is straightforward to find a place to park. On the other hand, the public transit system in Duffins Bay is rather limited. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is generally just around the corner. Duffins Bay is not especially cycling-friendly because there are a fair number of elevation changes, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive. It is also occasionally challenging for pedestrians to get around in this area as few common errands can be run on foot.


Primary schools and daycares are easy to reach on foot from anywhere in this part of Ajax. On the other hand, there are no high schools in this part of the town. With respect to food, it is easy to get to the closest supermarket on foot in Duffins Bay.


Most areas in Duffins Bay are very quiet, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Parks aren't well-spread out, which results in them being very difficult to get to from many locations within the neighbourhood.


Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing the majority of dwellings in Duffins Bay, while large apartment buildings and townhouses are also present in the housing stock.
