The car is very often the best method to get around in this area. It is very convenient to come across a place to park. It is very difficult for pedestrians to get around in this community as almost no daily needs can be carried out without a vehicle. West Porters Lake is also not very amenable to cycling because the area is not especially flat, and there are very few bike lanes.

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this area. In addition, there are only a very small number of daycares and accordingly they can be a very long walk away. In terms of food, home buyers in this area usually have to use a vehicle to do their groceries.
