Transportation
Pleasant Valley is an extremely convenient part of Halifax for getting around by car. Parking is quite easy. Pleasant Valley is not very amenable to cycling since there are a fair number of elevation changes to challenge cyclists, and the bicycling network is not very extensive. A majority of the homes for sale in this area are located in places that are also not very well-suited for pedestrians because almost no daily errands can be run without a vehicle.

Pleasant Valley does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, it can be very difficult to reach daycares as a pedestrian. With respect to eating, doing one's groceries very often necessitates the use of a car in Pleasant Valley.
