Dutch Settlement
The community of Dutch Settlement is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.
Transportation
Dutch Settlement is an extremely good part of Halifax for getting around by car. It is very easy to park. Getting around on foot is not very practical for home buyers in this part of the municipality since almost no day-to-day needs can be met without a car. This community is also not very bike-friendly as there are a good number of hills, and the bicycling network is quite bad.
Services
Primary schools are convenient to access by foot from most houses for sale in this community. In contrast, there are no high schools in Dutch Settlement. Concerning food, in all cases, a car is needed to purchase groceries.
Character
The character of Dutch Settlement is exemplified by its slower-paced ambience. The noise levels in Dutch Settlement are very low, as the streets are very calm. Public green spaces aren't well-situated, making them rather difficult to get to. Still, there are a few parks nearby for residents to check out.
