The community of Cooks Brook is part of the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.
Transportation
Driving is an excellent mode of transportation in Cooks Brook. It is very easy to park. The bike is a rather poor means of transportation in this area because there are a good number of hills, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive. Many of the houses for sale in this community are located in places that are also not very conducive to pedestrians because almost no daily errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.
Services
There are no high schools and no primary schools in Cooks Brook. Additionally, there are only a very small number of daycares and thus they can be a very long trip away. Regarding food, in all cases, a vehicle is needed in Cooks Brook to reach the nearest supermarket.
