Situated within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Southwest Cove is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The car is usually the favoured method of transportation in Southwest Cove. It is very easy to access a parking spot. Most houses for sale in this part of Halifax are located in places that are not very well-suited for people who prefer to get around as pedestrians because almost no daily errands can be run without the need to use a vehicle. The bicycle is a rather limited mode of transportation in Southwest Cove as the topography is not very flat, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.
