River Lake

The community of River Lake can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is an excellent transportation option in River Lake. It is very convenient to find a place to park. The bicycle is a rather poor method of transportation in this community as the bicycling network is not very well-developed, and there are a good number of elevation changes. Walking is also not very convenient for house buyers in River Lake since running daily errands is almost impossible without a car.

Services

River Lake does not have any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, there are only a very small number of daycares and consequently they can be a very long stroll away. With respect to eating, home buyers in River Lake almost always have to rely on a vehicle to buy their groceries.

Character

The character of River Lake is exemplified by its calm environment. Most areas in River Lake are especially quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Parks aren't well-distributed, making them very hard to get to. Despite that, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, including Tangier Grand Lake Wilderness Area.
