Located within the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Popes Harbour is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

The car is usually the favoured way to move around in Popes Harbour. Parking is quite easy. This part of the municipality is not very bicycling-friendly since there are a good number of elevation changes, and the cycling network is not very comprehensive. Popes Harbour is also not very suitable for people who like to travel on foot because almost no daily needs can be met without a car.

Services

This community does not contain any high schools or primary schools. Furthermore, it can be very difficult to reach daycares on foot. With respect to eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is required to buy groceries.

Character

Popes Harbour offers a slower-paced environment. Popes Harbour is reasonably quiet, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Green spaces are spread out sporadically, making it rather difficult to reach them from the majority of locations in this part of Halifax.
