The community of Jacket Lake can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Jacket Lake is particularly car friendly. Parking is easy. It is very difficult for pedestrians to get around in this community because almost no daily needs can be met without a car. It is also challenging to travel by bike in this community as the cycling network is quite poor, and the terrain is not especially flat.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in this area. Additionally, daycares are not plentiful and consequently not always within a short distance. When it comes to food, it is very rarely feasible for house buyers in this part of the municipality to purchase groceries on foot.
