Grand Lake is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are a great mode of transportation in Grand Lake. It is very convenient to come across a parking spot. It is very inconvenient for pedestrians to get around in this community because almost no day-to-day errands can be run without the use of a vehicle. Cycling is also challenging in Grand Lake since riding is made arduous by the typically sloping terrain, and there are very few bike lanes.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Grand Lake. In addition, daycares are not abundant and therefore tend to require a very long stroll to get to. With regards to eating, a car is almost always needed in Grand Lake to access the nearest supermarket.
