The community of Governor Lake can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great transportation option in this community. Parking is quite easy. It is very inconvenient for people travelling on foot to move around in this part of Halifax since many daily needs are nearly impossible to carry out without a car. Cycling is also challenging in this area because the bicycling network is quite poor, and there are a good number of hills for cyclists to brave.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Governor Lake. In addition, parents may find it very difficult for their children to reach daycares by foot. As far as eating is concerned, house buyers in Governor Lake almost always have to use a vehicle to travel to the closest supermarket.

Character

Governor Lake is an excellent community to buy a house in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. Governor Lake is very quiet overall, as the streets are generally very peaceful. Despite that, there are a few parks close by for residents to unwind in, including Abraham Lake Nature Reserve and Twelve Mile Stream Wilderness Area.
