Part of the Greater Halifax metropolitan area, Eastern Passage is a community within Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Eastern Passage is very car friendly. It is very easy to park. On the other hand, this area is not very transit friendly. Thankfully, there are a few bus lines crossing the community, and most residences are very close to a bus stop. A majority of the homes for sale in this community are located in areas that are not very conducive to those who prefer to get around on foot as very few common errands can be run without needing to resort to a vehicle. Eastern Passage is also not very bike-friendly because riding is made arduous by the often sloping terrain, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very extensive.

Services

Families will value that no matter where their house is located in Eastern Passage, both primary and secondary schools are nearby. However, it can be very difficult to get to daycares on foot. When it comes to eating, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is required in this area to reach the nearest supermarket. There are also a few options for those who care about restaurants within a short distance.

Single detached homes and row houses are the main housing type in Eastern Passage.
