East Preston

The community of East Preston can be found in the municipality of Halifax, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Greater Halifax metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a great means of transportation in East Preston. It is very easy to park, and the majority of houses for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway. It is very difficult for people walking to navigate East Preston as almost no daily needs can be met without a car. This part of Halifax is also not very conducive to biking as there are a good number of slopes to challenge cyclists, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.

Services

In all cases, a vehicle is needed to buy groceries. There are a few options for those who care about nearby restaurants. With regards to education, parents and their schoolchildren will appreciate that wherever their property is situated in this community, daycares are nearby. However, this part of Halifax does not have any primary schools or high schools.

Character

East Preston is a fairly good community to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced ambience. The noise levels in this area are low, as the streets tend to be reasonably tranquil. Lastly, it is easy to access green spaces from the majority of locations within the community since there are around 10 of them nearby for residents to discover.
