Part of the Greater Truro metropolitan area, Oliver is a neighbourhood within Colchester Subdivision B, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Oliver is very car friendly. It is especially convenient to park. The bike is a rather poor mode of transportation in Oliver because there are a good number of slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is quite poor. A majority of the houses for sale in this neighbourhood are located in places that are also not very convenient for people who like to get around by walking because running common errands is almost impossible without needing a car.

Services

In all cases, a car is required to do groceries. In terms of education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this part of the subdivision of a county municipality. Furthermore, daycares are not numerous and accordingly tend to require a very long distance to get to.

Character

Oliver is a very good neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm atmosphere. Most areas in Oliver are very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.
