The neighbourhood of French River can be found in the subdivision of a county municipality of Colchester Subdivision B, Nova Scotia, which is situated in the Greater Truro metropolitan area.

Transportation

The preferred way to navigate French River is very often a car. Accessing a place to park is generally easy. It is very impractical for people walking to get around in this neighbourhood as almost no daily errands can be run without a car. The bike is a rather limited mode of transportation in this area as the bicycling infrastructure is quite poor, and there are a fair number of slopes.

Services

In most cases, a car is required to buy groceries. There are also a few options for those who appreciate nearby restaurants. With respect to education, there are no high schools and no primary schools in this neighbourhood. Moreover, it can be very difficult to access daycares without a vehicle.
