Southend

Situated within the Cape Breton metropolitan area, Southend is a neighbourhood in Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia.

Transportation

Southend is rather car friendly. It is convenient to access a place to park, and it is a reasonably short car ride to the closest highway from anywhere in this area. Southend is not particularly amenable to cycling because there are quite a few hills, and the bicycling network is not very extensive. Traveling by walking is also not very popular in this area, even though many day-to-day errands can be run without the need to get in a car.

Services

The closest supermarket in Southend is usually only a reasonably short walk away. In addition, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and there are also a few coffee shops in this part of the municipality.
