Big Ridge

The community of Big Ridge can be found in the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

This part of the municipality is especially car friendly. It is very easy to park. Moving around by bicycle is very difficult in this part of the municipality as the topography is not especially flat, and there are very few bike lanes. It is also very inconvenient for people travelling on foot to navigate Big Ridge because almost no common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

Big Ridge does not contain any high schools or primary schools. In addition, it can be very difficult to access daycares by foot. Regarding eating, purchasing one's groceries usually demands the use of a vehicle in this community.

Character

The character of Big Ridge is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. This area is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, although Big Ridge does not contain any green spaces, parks are sparse in nearby communities, which results in them being easy to reach from the majority of locations in the community.
