The community of Alder Point can be found in the municipality of Cape Breton Municipality, Nova Scotia, which is located in the Cape Breton metropolitan area.

Transportation

Alder Point is an extremely convenient part of Cape Breton Municipality for travelling by car. Accessing a place to park is generally easy. The bike is a somewhat poor means of transportation in this part of Cape Breton Municipality as there are a fair number of hills, and the cycling network is quite bad. Nonetheless, biking is moderately commonplace. Alder Point is also not very suitable for those who prefer to travel as pedestrians because running daily errands is very inconvenient without needing a car.

Services

Alder Point does not have any high schools or primary schools. In addition, daycares are not plentiful and accordingly tend to require a very long stroll to get to. Concerning food, in all but a very small number of cases, a vehicle is needed to purchase groceries.
