Situated in the Greater Fredericton metropolitan area, Downtown Fredericton is a neighbourhood within Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Transportation

It is easy for pedestrians to get around in Downtown; many daily errands can be run without the need for a vehicle, and numerous businesses are moderately close at hand. A good number of residents in the area use their bike since there are not many elevation changes to confront bike riders, and the cycling infrastructure is fairly extensive. Public transit riders may experience limited options in Downtown due to the infrequent service. Nevertheless, there are around 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and it is very convenient to find a nearby bus stop from most houses.
