Located in the Greater Winnipeg metropolitan area, Meadows is a neighbourhood within Winnipeg, Manitoba.


This neighbourhood is very car friendly. Nearby highways are quite easy to reach from any location in Meadows, and it is very convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit service in this area is not very frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most properties. Walking is not particularly practical for residents in this area since few daily errands can be run on foot.


It is generally possible for house buyers in Meadows to buy their groceries on foot. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes can be found as well. Concerning education, parents and their kids will find that wherever their home is located in this area, daycares and primary schools are nearby. However, Meadows does not have any high schools.


The character of Meadows is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. There are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, including Park City West Community Center and Morley R. Kare Park, and they are especially well-distributed, which results in them being easy to get to from a large number of locations within this area. This part of Winnipeg is also very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour.


Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing around two thirds of dwellings in Meadows, while the rest are mainly small apartment buildings and townhouses. This neighbourhood offers mainly four or more bedroom and three bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy around 90% of the properties in Meadows while the rest are rented. About one third of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1980s, while many of the remaining buildings were built in the 1960s and the 1990s.
