However, commuting by transit can be very difficult in this neighbourhood as a result of the infrequent service. It is impractical for people walking to navigate Kil-Cona Park since very few common errands can be run without having to use a car.

This part of the city does not have any high schools or primary schools. Moreover, families may consider it difficult for their children to get to daycares as a pedestrian. As far as food is concerned, in most, if not all, cases, a vehicle is required to do groceries.

The character of Kil-Cona Park is exemplified by its calm ambience. This part of Winnipeg is reasonably quiet, as noise from streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue. Lastly, there are a few green spaces nearby for residents to discover, such as Harbourview Recreation Complex and Kilcona Park, which results in them being very easy to reach from a large number of locations in the neighbourhood.

In Kil-Cona Park, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes, and the remaining properties are mainly small apartment buildings.
