Eagle Harbour

Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Eagle Harbour is a neighbourhood within West Vancouver, British Columbia.

Transportation

Eagle Harbour is very car friendly. Parking is quite easy, and it is a short car ride to the closest highway, such as Highway 99, from any home in this part of West Vancouver. In contrast, residents using public transit may find limited choices in Eagle Harbour by reason of the low service level. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines crossing the neighbourhood, and bus stops are commonly very close by. Eagle Harbour is not especially conducive to cycling as cyclists are faced with quite a few slopes, and there are few bike lanes. Nevertheless, certain bike-friendly areas can be found. Walking is also not very feasible for residents in this neighbourhood since meeting daily needs is very difficult without a car.

Services

It is a reasonably short stroll to reach daycares and primary schools from most properties for sale in Eagle Harbour. In contrast, it can be very hard to access high schools on foot. As far as eating is concerned, it is occasionally an option for property owners in Eagle Harbour to travel to the nearest grocery store as pedestrians. A limited number of restaurants and cafes are available as well.

Character

Eagle Harbour is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a calm ambience. This part of the municipality is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets are quite peaceful - although that is not the case closer to the railway line, Highway 99 or Trans-Canada Highway. Finally, it is easy to access parks from a lot of locations within the neighbourhood, since there are around 10 of them nearby for residents to visit, such as Seaview Walk and Nelson Canyon Park.

Housing

The predominance of single detached homes in the housing stock of Eagle Harbour is an important part of its character. Roughly one third of properties in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This part of the municipality offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 10% are rented.

Eagle Harbour, located in the beautiful West Vancouver, is the perfect place for those looking for a quiet and peaceful neighborhood with easy parking and access to green spaces. With an abundance of single detached homes and townhouses, this area offers a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for families and nature lovers.
