Whytecliff

The neighbourhood of Whytecliff is part of the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Cars are an excellent means of transportation in Whytecliff. It is especially convenient to come across a place to park, and many homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway. However, the public transit service in Whytecliff is not very frequent. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and most residences are close to a bus stop. Commuting by bicycle is sometimes difficult in Whytecliff because the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive, and cyclists encounter a considerable amount of elevation changes. Walking is also not very feasible for home buyers in Whytecliff because most daily needs are very challenging to meet without a vehicle.

Services

There are no high schools and no primary schools in Whytecliff. Furthermore, families may consider it challenging to access daycares by foot. As far as food is concerned, a supermarket is generally reachable within an extended stroll from most houses for sale in Whytecliff. There are also a few choices for those who value restaurants and cafes in close proximity.

Character

Whytecliff offers a slower-paced atmosphere and will appeal to home buyers who enjoy spending time outdoors. This area is very quiet, as the streets are generally very calm. Finally, there are a few green spaces close by for residents to unwind in, including Whytecliff Park, and they are very well-located, making them very easy to get to.

Housing

In Whytecliff, the overwhelming majority of dwellings are single detached homes, whereas the rest are mainly duplexes. About one third of properties in this part of the municipality were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960 and in the 1980s. This neighbourhood offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Roughly 95% of the properties in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners and 5% are occupied by renters.
