The neighbourhood of Silver Valley can be found in the city of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Silver Valley is very car friendly. Parking is quite easy. In contrast, the public transit in Silver Valley is not very practical. Nonetheless, the neighbourhood is served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are commonly around the corner. Walking is not very feasible for residents in Silver Valley because carrying out day-to-day needs is inconvenient without the use of a vehicle. This neighbourhood is also not especially conducive to bicycling as there are a limited number of bike lanes, and cyclists are faced with a significant amount of slopes.

Services

Property owners in this part of Maple Ridge usually have to rely on a vehicle to do grocery shopping. There are also a few choices for those who value nearby restaurants. With regards to education, there are only a very small number of high schools in Silver Valley and consequently they can be a very long distance away. Likewise, this part of Maple Ridge does not contain any primary schools. Furthermore, it can be difficult to access daycares from houses for sale in this area.

Character

The character of Silver Valley is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. This area is wonderful for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour. Finally, reaching public green spaces from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood, including Maple Ridge Park and Blaney Bog Regional Park Reserve, is easy since there are approximately 10 of them nearby for residents to discover.

Housing

Nearly 90% of the population of this neighbourhood own their home while renters make up the remainder. In this area, around 60% of buildings are single detached homes, while duplexes are also present in the housing stock. A majority of the housing growth in this neighbourhood has taken place following the year 2000. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
