The neighbourhood of Parkway can be found in the municipality of District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a fairly good mode of transportation in this neighbourhood. Coming across a parking spot is easy. However, the transit system in this area is rather limited. Nevertheless, there are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most homes. Bicycling is easy in this part of the municipality since the bicycling infrastructure is well-developed. This area is not particularly well-suited for pedestrians as running daily errands is difficult without needing a car.

Services

The nearest supermarket in Parkway is typically only a short walk away. There are also a few restaurants and cafes in this area. With respect to education, it is a short stroll to access primary schools and daycares from most houses for sale in this part of the municipality. In contrast, there are no high schools in Parkway.

Character

Parkway offers a slower-paced environment and will appeal to those who enjoy spending time outdoors. This part of District of North Vancouver is great for those who need a quiet atmosphere, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing around one third of dwellings in Parkway, and the remainder are mainly large apartment buildings and small apartment buildings. This neighbourhood is primarily composed of three bedroom and two bedroom homes. About 80% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood are occupied by homeowners while renters occupy the remainder. Most of the housing growth in this part of the municipality took place between 1980 and 1990.
