Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, Northeast Coquitlam is a neighbourhood within Coquitlam, British Columbia.

Transportation

The car is often the preferred approach to navigate Northeast Coquitlam. It is convenient to park. On the other hand, the public transit service in Northeast Coquitlam is not very frequent. Thankfully, homeowners are served by about 10 bus lines, and the nearest bus stop is generally around the corner. Commuting by bicycle is convenient in Northeast Coquitlam since the cycling network is rather comprehensive. It is impractical for people walking to get around in this neighbourhood since very few common errands can be run without the use of a vehicle.

Services

In all but a limited number of cases, a car is needed to do groceries. Nonetheless, it is generally a reasonably short distance to the closest pharmacy, which can supply some basic food items. A restaurant is commonly just around the corner. As far as education is concerned, parents and their kids will welcome that no matter where their house is situated in Northeast Coquitlam, daycares and primary schools are close by. However, high schools are not abundant and accordingly may require a very long trip to get to.

The character of Northeast Coquitlam is exemplified by its calm environment. This part of the city is especially quiet overall, as the streets are generally very peaceful. Lastly, there are approximately 40 parks nearby for residents to check out, including Hyde Creek Nature Reserve and Harper Park, making them very easy to reach.

In this area, roughly 45% of buildings are single detached homes, while duplexes make up most of the remaining housing stock. A majority of the housing growth in this part of the city has happened following the year 2000. This area is primarily composed of three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes.
