King George Corridor

Part of the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area, King George Corridor is a neighbourhood within Surrey, British Columbia.

Transportation

Traveling as a pedestrian is reasonably feasible for property owners in King George Corridor; many day-to-day needs can be met without a car. This neighbourhood is also fairly bicycling-friendly as there are a good number of bike lanes. King George Corridor is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, residents are served by about 10 bus lines, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most properties. On the other hand, King George Corridor is very car friendly. Many houses for sale are a reasonably short drive from the closest highway, such as Highway 99, and it is easy to find a parking spot.

Services

It is a reasonably short trip to access schools and daycares from any location in this part of the city. In terms of food, the closest grocery store in this area is typically only a short stroll away. Additionally, there are a good number of choices in close proximity for those who care about restaurants and cafes. It is also convenient to reach a selection of clothing stores on foot.

Character

No matter what type of character home buyers prefer in a neighbourhood, King George Corridor is a reasonably good option. Although the ambience is not the liveliest in this part of the city with its approximately 10 nightlife venues, it is easy to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located a short walk away. King George Corridor is good for those who prefer a quiet atmosphere, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamour, although that is not the case close to the railway line or Highway 99. There are over 50 green spaces close by for residents to visit, such as Fergus Watershed Biodiversity Preserve and Sunnyside Park, and they are very well-situated, making it easy to get to them.

Housing

Single detached homes are the most common housing type, representing around 40% of dwellings in King George Corridor, and the remainder are mainly small apartment buildings.
