The neighbourhood of Highlands can be found in the municipality of District of North Vancouver, British Columbia, which is located in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

A majority of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are convenient for people who like to get around as pedestrians; many daily needs can be met without needing a car, and a variety of businesses are reasonably close by. The bike is a reasonably good means of transportation in Highlands. Commuting by car is very convenient in Highlands. Many homes for sale are a reasonably short drive from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and parking is quite easy. In contrast, residents using public transit may experience few options in Highlands due to the low service level. Nevertheless, there are approximately 10 bus lines traversing the neighbourhood, and it is very easy to get to a nearby bus stop from most houses.

Services

Parents and their schoolchildren will find that wherever their house is located in Highlands, daycares and primary schools are close by. In contrast, families may consider it difficult to reach high schools as pedestrians. Regarding food, it is usually practical for house buyers in this neighbourhood to shop for general and specialty groceries as pedestrians. Furthermore, there are a good number of opportunities in close proximity for those who value restaurants and cafes. It is also a reasonably short stroll to a decent selection of clothing stores, for instance on Edgemont Boulevard.

Character

The character of Highlands is exemplified by its relaxed ambience. This area is very quiet overall, as there are generally low levels of noise from traffic. Lastly, there are around 40 green spaces nearby for residents to relax in, including Eldon Park and Mackay Creek Park, and they are very well-situated, which results in them being very easy to reach from the majority of locations in Highlands.
