English Bluff

English Bluff is a neighbourhood within Delta, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is a very good transportation option in English Bluff. It is very easy to park. In contrast, the transit in English Bluff is not very convenient. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines passing through the neighbourhood, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. Many of the homes for sale in this part of Delta are located in places that are not very well-suited for people who prefer to get around as pedestrians as running daily errands is inconvenient without needing a vehicle. It is also sometimes challenging to move around by bicycle in English Bluff as there is a significant amount of hills, and the cycling network is not very extensive.

Services

It is rarely feasible for house buyers in English Bluff to purchase groceries on foot. With respect to education, families will value that no matter where their property is located in this part of the municipality, primary schools and daycares are close by. On the other hand, there are no high schools in English Bluff.

Character

English Bluff is an excellent neighbourhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a calm environment. The noise levels in this part of Delta are very low, as the streets tend to be especially tranquil. Finally, public green spaces, like Pebble Hill Park, are very well-spread out and there are around 10 of them close by for residents to visit, making them easy to get to.

In English Bluff, almost all dwellings are single detached homes, while duplexes are the main alternative in the housing stock. This part of Delta offers mainly three bedroom and four or more bedroom homes. Homeowners occupy about 90% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood and 10% are rented. Most housing in this part of Delta was constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, during its biggest construction boom.
