Transportation

Douglas-Gilpin presents homeowners with the choice between a variety of means of transportation. Driving is an excellent transportation option in Douglas-Gilpin. Most properties for sale are a short car ride from the nearest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and parking is quite easy. The transit network in this part of Burnaby is also reasonably good. In particular, residents profit from plenty of rapid transit stations on the Millennium Line. The neighbourhood is served by around 10 bus lines, and most properties are very close to a bus stop. There aren't many pedestrians out on the streets of this neighbourhood, despite the fact that many common errands can be run without a car. In contrast, Douglas-Gilpin is reasonably bike-friendly.

Schools and daycares are straightforward to reach as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in this area. With respect to eating, a supermarket is typically reachable within a long trip from any location in Douglas-Gilpin. This area is quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic - although that is not the case around Trans-Canada Highway. Finally, it is very easy to get to parks from the majority of locations within the neighbourhood since there are approximately 40 of them close by for residents to check out.
