In contrast, public transit riders may find few options in Braemar due to the low service level. Thankfully, property owners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most residences. It is challenging for people travelling on foot to get around in this part of the municipality as few common errands can be run without a car. In contrast, moving around by bicycle is easy in this area.

Services

However, there are only a limited number of high schools and therefore they can be an extended stroll away. As far as food is concerned, house buyers in this area will welcome that a grocery store is always only a very long trip away. Likewise, a restaurant is commonly just around the corner, and there are also a few coffee shops in Braemar.

Character

The character of Braemar is exemplified by its calm environment. This part of the municipality is very quiet overall, as there are usually low levels of noise from traffic. Finally, accessing green spaces, like Princess Park, is very easy from the majority of locations in the neighbourhood since there are approximately 10 of them close by for residents to relax in.

Housing

Homeowners occupy about 85% of the dwellings in the neighbourhood while the rest are rented. Single detached homes are the predominant housing type, representing most dwellings in this area, while the remainder are mainly duplexes. Roughly one third of homes in this neighbourhood were built in the 1960s and 1970s, while most of the remaining buildings were constructed pre-1960 and in the 1990s. This part of District of North Vancouver also has a selection of unit sizes; there is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this area.
