The neighbourhood of Bayridge can be found in the municipality of West Vancouver, British Columbia, which is situated in the Metro Vancouver metropolitan area.

Transportation

Driving is very often the favoured mode of transportation in Bayridge. Many real estate listings are a short drive from the closest highway, such as Trans-Canada Highway, and it is especially convenient to come across a place to park. In contrast, public transit users may experience few choices in Bayridge as a result of the infrequent service. Thankfully, homeowners benefit from a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far away from most houses. The bicycle is a fairly poor method of transportation in Bayridge as there are quite a few hills, and there are few bike lanes. Walking is also not very practical for residents in this neighbourhood as very few common errands can be run without a vehicle.

Services

It is rarely an option for home buyers in Bayridge to shop for their groceries on foot. With respect to education, it is a reasonably short trip to reach daycares and primary schools from most homes for sale in this part of the municipality. On the other hand, Bayridge does not contain any high schools.

Character

Bayridge is a fairly good neighbourhood to buy a house in for those who prefer a slower-paced atmosphere. This part of the municipality is reasonably quiet overall, as the streets tend to be tranquil - although that is not the case close to the railway line or Trans-Canada Highway. Lastly, there are around 10 public green spaces nearby for residents to explore, such as McKechnie Park and Cypress Falls Park, and they are especially well-situated, which makes them easy to access from the majority of locations in this part of West Vancouver.

Housing

The large percentage of single detached homes in the housing stock of Bayridge is an important part of its character. There is a higher proportion of four or more bedroom homes in this neighbourhood. Homeowners occupy around 80% of the units in Bayridge and 20% are occupied by renters. Roughly 45% of homes in this neighbourhood were constructed in the 1960s and 1970s, while many of the remaining buildings were built pre-1960.
